Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, said that if he had to move to 20 different political parties to make things right in Nigeria, he would gladly do that. Obi made this statement on Monday while fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ monitored by Daily Post. He was speaking ahead of the next year’s general elections.
Daily Post recalls that Obi on December 31, 2025, defected from the Labour Party into the African Democratic Congress, ADC. He said, “I don’t have much time in politics. If I have to move to 20 different political parties, I will do it.
“I cannot be talking about change and something new while still using the same process of yesterday to build the future. I have never been involved in any form of election rigging at the primary level, the election itself, or after that. I have never been part of paying people at the judiciary or anywhere to give me a judgment I never deserved.”
