President Tinubu is currently holding a security meeting with service chiefs, intelligence heads, and the Inspector-General of Police at the presidential villa. The meeting is being held behind closed doors.
The Chief of Defence Staff, National Security Adviser, Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Staff, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, and the Inspector-General of Police are all in attendance.
This followed the deteriorating security situation in some parts of the country, especially the North. Several military officers were officers and commanders have been killed by terrorists in the last few days.
