A political pressure group, APC Mandate in Achi Clan, has debunked a media report that a political crisis was looming in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu for a supposed breach of zoning arrangement.
Commenting on the report titled “Political Revolution Looms in Oji River Over Breach of Zoning Arrangement”, the group, in a statement signed by Nze Jeff Uke on behalf of other concerned citizens, said that there is no cause for alarm. They insisted that anybody saying anything to the contrary is a mischief-maker.
They also posited that those who sponsored the said publication were speaking for themselves but not for Achi or the entire Oji River. The statement reads in part: “There is no cause for alarm in the Achi clan and Oji River local government area over the 2027 general election.
“The paid publication is ranting of minor confused opposition elements who sponsored one Ugo Omere to parade and claim a spokesman for the Achi clan, which he is not.
“We plead with the governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and the general public to disregard the misguided publication. “APC, as a formidable political party, has taken over the Achi clan in particular and Oji River in general.
“We have credible party men and women who understand the supremacy of our great party, APC, under the leadership of indefatigable governor of Enugu State Dr Ndubuisi Mbah, on whose directives we respect and follow with undivided loyalty.
“The Achi clan and the general public know who spoke for the Achi clan when his excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah visited Achi on 21st December 2025.
“The opposition group has lost grip with massive infrastructural developments of the APC-led government in the past three years and the latest flag-off of over 35 kilometres of virgin road networks linking the Achi clan to two local government areas in Enugu State, for which we remain very grateful.
“APC as a political party has organized groups known as APC mandate squad in Achi clan and Oji River local government area under our powerful party leadership structure from zonal to ward levels.
“Our traditional rulers, town unions, and APC members are at peace with our governor, his excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. The display of our appreciation for numerous legacy projects will be reflected in our votes come 2027 general election results.”
