Seriake Dickson, the founder and leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has said bringing the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, into the party did not happen overnight.
Dickson said bringing Obi and Kwankwaso into the NDC is a result of years of engagement and collaboration. Featuring on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday night, Dickson insisted that there is no crisis within the NDC.
He said: “The NDC leadership remains intact, and there is no crisis of confidence within the party. We have been able to attract strong membership and earn the trust of my colleagues, including former governors and other distinguished Nigerian political leaders.
“We also brought together Peter Obi and Kwankwaso, two of the country’s most influential political figures, onto our platform. These are people I have worked with for a long time, so this convergence within the NDC did not happen overnight; it is the result of years of engagement and collaboration.
“Many Nigerians believe in us, and I want to thank them for their trust, confidence, and continued support.”
